Set up an MCP server
Create a server, choose which tools it exposes, and copy its URL. Takes about two minutes.
An MCP server is a set of your workspace's tools that an AI assistant is allowed to use. You choose the tools when you set up an MCP server.
Before you start
Connect the integrations you want the assistant to reach. A server can only expose tools from integrations this workspace has already connected — see Connecting a tool.
1. Create the server
Go to Settings → MCP servers and click New MCP server. Name it after what it's for, for example Support or Reporting and click Create.
Only organisation owners can create MCP servers.
2. Choose its tools
Your connected integrations are listed. Expand one to see its tools and tick the ones the assistant may use. Tools marked Read only fetch data. Everything else can create, change or delete things in that tool.
Click Save when you're done. Changes apply immediately, including to assistants that are already connected.
3. Copy the server URL
On the MCP servers list, open the menu next to your server and choose Copy server URL. That URL is what you paste into your assistant.
Turning it off
The Enabled switch stops the server answering requests without deleting it or losing your tool selection. Connected assistants lose access immediately, and get it back when you switch it on again.
