Connecting Claude
Add your MCP server to Claude as a custom connector, approve access, and check it works.
Once you have an MCP server URL, connecting Claude takes about a minute.
Before you start
Set up a server and copy its URL — see Set up an MCP server. Be signed in to Nodest in the same browser you use for Claude.
1. Add the connector
In Claude, open your settings and add a custom connector. Paste the server URL and confirm.
2. Approve access
Claude sends you to Nodest to approve the connection. The screen names the server, how many tools it exposes, and the workspace it belongs to. Check it is the right one, then approve.
3. Check it works
Start a new chat and ask:
Which Nodest tools do you have?
Claude should list the tools you ticked when setting the server up.
If it doesn't work
Claude lists no tools. The server has no tools ticked, or the integrations behind them are no longer connected. Open the server and check.
Claude says the server is disabled. Switch Enabled back on for that server.
Claude cannot reach the server. Check the URL you pasted ends with the server's id — copy it again from the ⋯ menu if you are unsure.
