Data residency

Where your data is stored and processed, which sub-processors are involved.

All customer and automation data is stored and processed in the European Union. Nodest is operated from Germany and hosted on servers in Germany.

For teams that can't send site data to US-hosted automation platforms, this is the difference that matters.

Where your data lives

The platform and all customer data sit on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, located in Germany within the EU/EEA.

That covers everything Nodest holds for you:

  • The payloads passing through your automations
  • Your run history
  • Your connection credentials
  • Your account and workspace data

There is no replication to regions outside the EU, and no processing of your automation data elsewhere.

Hetzner handles infrastructure-level data — server logs, disk storage — as a processor under a data processing agreement. It has no access to the content of your data beyond what running the infrastructure technically requires.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe in the United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses. That covers your payment details and invoices — your name, company, and billing address — and nothing else.

No data flowing through your automations is ever sent to Stripe or to any other party outside the EU by Nodest.

Your connected tools are your choice

Worth being precise, because it's the part people get wrong: residency applies to Nodest, not to the tools at either end of your automation.

If your automation sends order data to a US-hosted CRM, that data leaves the EU — because you instructed it to. Where Nodest stores things doesn't change where your CRM does.

When EU residency has to hold for the whole chain, it has to hold for every tool in it. Check the residency of each service you connect, not just the platform connecting them.
