Q: Do I need an API key or an SMTP key to connect Brevo?

An API key. Brevo offers both, and they aren't interchangeable: SMTP keys only authorize sending mail over SMTP, so contacts, lists, and CRM actions will be rejected. Generate the key from the API Keys tab, not the SMTP tab.

Q: Should I give the API key an expiry date?

When a key expires, every Brevo step in every automation fails until you generate a replacement and paste it into the connection. Choose no expiry, or set a reminder well ahead of the date.

Q: Do I have to create the webhooks in Brevo myself?

No. Switching on an automation with a Brevo trigger registers the webhook in your Brevo account, and switching it off removes it again. There is nothing to add by hand under Brevo's webhook settings.

Q: What is the difference between the marketing and transactional triggers?

Marketing events come from campaigns sent to your lists, transactional events from individual emails sent.

Q: How do I connect Notion to Nodest?

Open Integrations in your workspace, click Connect Notion, and approve access in the window that opens. Notion asks which pages and databases to share as part of that step, and that choice decides what Nodest can see, including everything your automations will touch.

Q: Why is my database missing from the dropdown?

Notion only access what has been explicitly shared during connection. Open the database in Notion, add Nodest under its connections menu, and it appears in the list. The same applies to any page created somewhere the connection was never granted access.

Q: Do I have to reconnect Notion periodically?

No. Nodest renews the authorization in the background, so it keeps working until you disconnect it in Nodest or remove Nodest from your Notion workspace's connections.
